Send as an alias or custom From address

By default, Flashissue sends from your Google account's address. You can also send from another address you own, such as your business address, after you verify it.

This page covers the From address only. To have replies go somewhere else, see Set a Reply-To address. Not sure which one you need? See From vs Reply-To.

Add a sender address

  1. In the Flashissue menu (top right of the Editor), choose Send Mail As. You can also open the From drop-down in the Editor and click Add sender.
  2. Under Add sender email address, type the address and click Add email address.
  3. The address appears under Awaiting verification. Flashissue sends a verification email to that address.
  4. Open that inbox and click the verification link. On the page that opens, click Verify this address.

Only verify addresses you trust

The verification page shows which Flashissue account is asking to send as this address. If you don't recognise the account, close the page and nothing changes.

Once verified, the address moves to Verified email addresses and you can use it as your From or Reply-To address.

Didn't get the email? Check spam, then click (Resend) next to the address. If the link says it's invalid or already used, the address may already be verified. Otherwise, add it again.

Send from the address

In the Editor, pick the verified address in the From field before you send. You can also change the From name that recipients see. See Change your From name.

Sending from a free mailbox (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com…)

Free mailbox providers publish strict DMARC policies. That means mail sent "from" their addresses by a service like Flashissue may be rejected or land in spam. If your From is a free-mailbox address, Flashissue may show a notice suggesting a different From. Your own domain address works best, ideally with a verified sending domain.

Addresses verified before the From/Reply-To split

If you verified an address in the older single "From / Reply-To" setting, you don't need to do anything. It still works for both From and Reply-To.
