How Flashissue delivers your email (Sent folder, IPs)¶
Large sends go through Flashissue's servers¶
Google strictly limits how much bulk email you can send from a Gmail account. See Gmail sending limits. To get around this, Flashissue delivers emails to larger lists from its own sending servers, so they don't count against your Gmail limit and they reach inboxes reliably.
When an email goes out through your Gmail account¶
Flashissue sends through your own Gmail account only when all of these are true:
- You send from your Google account's own address, with your default display name. If you pick a different verified From address, or change your From name, the email always goes out from Flashissue's servers.
- The email has no more recipients than your Gmail sending threshold. On the Free plan this is Flashissue's standard threshold (currently 500 recipients). On a premium plan you can set your own in Delivery Options, up to 2,000.
Everything else goes out from Flashissue's servers.
One exception: if your address's domain has a strict DMARC policy (or it's a consumer address such as @gmail.com) and the domain isn't verified in Flashissue, Flashissue sends through your Gmail account whenever the send fits within Google's daily limit (500 for @gmail.com, 2,000 for Google Workspace), so the email passes DMARC. If it doesn't fit, Flashissue sends from its servers with an adjusted From address and your address as Reply-To, or stops the send and tells you why. See DMARC & deliverability.
Why your emails aren't in your Gmail Sent folder¶
Emails sent from Flashissue's servers don't appear in your Gmail Sent folder. Your record of every send is in Reports. See Understanding your campaign report. Emails that go out through your Gmail account do appear in Sent.
Sending to people in your own organisation¶
If you send to many people at your own school, company or organisation, your IT team may need to allow Flashissue's sending servers so your emails aren't filtered. Email support@flashissue.com for the current sending IP addresses and domains to give your Google Workspace or mail administrator.
Permission-based email only¶
Flashissue only supports email to people who opted in or whom you know. If our systems see high spam or bounce rates, sending can be held for review or the account suspended. See Bounces & spam.
