Unsubscribes, bounces & the Undeliverables tab

How unsubscribing works

Every Flashissue email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Anti-spam laws such as CAN-SPAM require it, and it can't be turned off. When someone unsubscribes:

  • they're removed from all of your Flashissue mailing lists (but not from your Google Contacts),
  • they're added to your Undeliverables list, so they won't get any more emails from you.

Addresses that bounce or report your email as spam also go on the Undeliverables list.

If a teammate sends to a list you've shared, anyone who unsubscribes is suppressed for both of you.

See who's unsubscribed

Go to Lists and open the Undeliverables tab. Your campaign reports also show unsubscribes for each email. See Understanding your campaign report.

Re-subscribe someone

Only do this if the person has asked you to.

  1. Go to Lists, then Undeliverables.
  2. Tick the address (or choose All) and click Release.
  3. Check that they're back on the right list, and add them again if they aren't.

Flashissue requires you to respect unsubscribe requests. Releasing people who didn't ask to be re-added breaks our terms and the law.
